Application
We invite all healthcare technology innovators (eg, academic faculty, postdocs, students, clinicians, and those from industry) to apply. Technologies with the potential to impact human health (e.g. therapeutic, diagnostic, device, tool, software) are eligible.
Here is how our rolling application process works:
1. Ongoing Application Submissions: Our team accepts applications year-round, enabling you to submit your application at any time that suits you best. We encourage you to apply as soon as you're ready to present your technology.
Confirm that a Confidential Disclosure Agreement (CDA) has been signed between GCC REACH and your Tech Transfer Office. You may use the GCC REACH CDA or we will be happy to review your internal CDA.
Submit your application to applications@gccreach.org. Applications for Technology Feedback Forums (Step 1 of the program) will be accepted on a rolling basis. However, please note that cutoffs are in place for a set number of TFFs on a first come, first serve basis.
2. Flexible & Limited Technology Feedback Forum (TFF) Review Slots: Once your application is received, we'll confirm receipt and work with you to schedule a 30 minute Technology Feedback Forum (TFF) to allow you the opportunity to present the highlights of your technology. These TFFs are conducted every Friday at 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM. You'll have the flexibility to choose a time slot that works for you. Our goal is to schedule the TFF within 2 weeks of your submission.
3. Prompt Feedback and Decision Making: Following your TFF presentation, our panel of expert reviewers will provide constructive feedback to help you refine and enhance your technology. We're committed to prompt decision-making, ensuring you receive timely feedback on your presentation and the outcome of your application. Whether you're selected for further consideration or not, participating in our TFFs offers valuable insights and networking opportunities.
4. Product Commercialization Plans: Applicants selected to advance to Step 2 of the program will collaborate with a customized Strategic Advisory Team to develop a Product Commercialization Plan (PCP). PCPs will be reviewed on a triennial basis by the GCC REACH External Review Board, with select projects receiving additional support.
We're excited to learn more about your technology and assist you on your innovation journey. Should you have any questions or require further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at lt53@rice.edu.

*Confidentiality disclaimer: GCC REACH advisory forums will be protected by a Confidential Disclosure Agreement (CDA). For academic projects to be selected for a Technology Feedback Forum (1st step of the GCC REACH program), we must have a signed CDA with your Technology Transfer Office (TTO). Please reach out to your TTO or to GCC REACH to make sure that your institutional CDA has been signed. If it has not been signed, you may use the attached/linked GCC REACH CDA. Alternatively, if your TTO prefers to use their own CDA, we will be happy to explore that option. If you are a company that is not associated with an institutional TTO, you will need to sign a CDA with GCC REACH directly.
